I am in the process of learning my 7D(slow learner). I have gotten to the point that I want to use the continuous shooting mode. My problem: when I set it to continuous shooting, if it times out automatically, it will reset to single shooting when I half click the shutter turning it back on. I have checked the manual and video tutorials online, and found nothing that addresses this.
What do I have to do to keep the continuous shooting on?

It sounds like there is an OS problem in the camera. It should stay on continous untill you change it again. Is your firm ware up to date? update it and see if it corrects the problem. If it doesn't then I would recommend calling Canon USA @ 1-800-OKCANON.and ask them about it.
I though on the 7D you cant do continuous shooting beyond 10 minutes ...if i am wrong please correct me , as i am interestd in getting that camera to do short films and that is the only factor that has stopped me from purchasing that model
