The Metering Mode Has Disappeared from the Lcd Display on My Canon 7D. What Am I Missing? thanks.
Step 1: When I use the AF-On button and then press the shutter button the camera refocuses. ON my T5i I can turn off the shutter button focus.
Hello all! This is my first post. So, I am on my way to the Everglades for a bird photography trip in a few weeks. In the past, I have brought my laptop computer, along with my card reader and Canon 7D to transfer my photos.
While in any mode except for auto on my Canon 7d I have one blue line on each side of my LCD while previewing my pics. These are close to the edge almost like crop lines however they do not appear when photos are downloaded and no cropping occurs.See more: Dave Arilotta's Profile « Wonder How To http://www.wonderhowto.com/community/member/davearilotta/#ixzz1Bi6U9QiU
I'm Trying to Set the Manual Focusing Options on My 7d, I Want to Use Focus Point Expansion. However, When Going into the Settings I Find That I'm Only Able to Select 3 of the 5 Options, of Course Not the two that I want, spot and expansion. Any ideas anyone?
I recently got my 7D back after it was being fixed for a broken cf pin. The problem now lies with the flash, the flash DOES pop and it does fire, but there's no flash effect on the photo sometimes. Heres 2 photos, same settings but 1 is iso 1600 and the second is iso 2000.
hey, I have seen a white pixel on my canon 7D on the LCD screen while shooting video. This is not a dead pixel on the LCD screen though because when i use the digital zoom buttoms the relative size of the dead pixel changes also. So it must be a dead pixel on the sensor.
Hello, I have been shooting at night. I have used a telephoto with 2.8 aperture, and the 100mm 2.8 macro lens. I don't use a flash at the request of the owner...distracting and images look washed out. I usually boost the iso, but I get so much noise even after post production. The shoot coming us is a high school reunion. Any tips that I might be missing. Also, they want most of the shots to be candid.
I've been using a 7d for about a month and I've noticed my images are soft or blurred on the right hand side especially if the subjects are in a line so the right hand image is furthest away. I need to cover the whole lens with sharp clear images and finding this frustrating and need to resolve this quickly as these are wedding photographs. Has anyone had similar problems where the 7d fails to be sharp all the way across a lens? Using sigma 17-70 lens worked perfectly with my 50d camera
7D I am trying to get the flash sync mode into Hi-Speed/2nd curtain but those two selections are greyed out. Any ideas?
Post some of your favorite shorts shot on the 7D here. Please remember to credit source and filmmakers!
Is anyone else having problems getting sharp images with the 7D when shooting action. I've had the camera approximately 6 months and the results I am getting are appalling. Every image is soft! I've been shooting top class rugby and football for 15 years and this is by far the worst camera I've owned. It's not a lens issue as I use a 70-200mm 2.8 IS Canon. In the past I've owned 10D, 20D etc... and the image results from these cameras are far superior! Looking into this problem on the net it ...
Is the Canon 2x converter fully compatible with a Canon 7D EOS camera
Hi. I'm new at this, and was wondering if there was a way to display the video I'm recording in my Marshall monitor and my camera LCD screen.

I'm having trouble shooting indoor volleyball action and would like to have more of the front-to-back field in focus.
Hi there, My 7D is producing photographs in a 4:3 aspect ratio. For the life of me I cannot figure out how to switch this option off and go back to taking normal images.
I used to have a Nikon, with which I used a 55-200mm lens, and have since bought a Canon 7D, but don't really want to sell my 55-200 if I don't need to. I therefore bought an adapter so I can use the lens with the 7d, however, because the lens' aperture is changed digitally, the Canon body doesn't recognise this and I therefore cannot change the aperture the lens while using it on this camera.
I am in the process of learning my 7D(slow learner). I have gotten to the point that I want to use the continuous shooting mode. My problem: when I set it to continuous shooting, if it times out automatically, it will reset to single shooting when I half click the shutter turning it back on. I have checked the manual and video tutorials online, and found nothing that addresses this.
Hi, I recently got a 7D.
I'm testing out a Canon EOS 7D for some in-office product photography. I use a photo station with a white background and two 7Ds. What are the best settings to use?
Hi, I am using Canon 7D, 18-55mm Kit Lens, wide angle convertor, Hoya Pro1 Digital Filter ND x16 and a tripod to shoot a Daytime Long Exposure Landscape. I switch my dial to BULB mode, keeping my aperture to F22 and ISO to 100. I use a remote to control my shutter. After 1 min of shoot, My photos still comes out overblown. I have tried reducing and maximizing my aperture but I cant get a smooth LE Photos. I have missed out my chances of getting great photos in Turkey and China and I am leavin...
Hey WHT-7D fanatics :P I just uploaded my 1st ever 7D short film I did here in Salem, OR.
I have the 7d and when in manual mode the continuous shooting only goes in groups of three. There was another time I had it working continuously but now for some reason it only goes in 3's. I obviously have some setting wrong.

Hello All, I Have a Problem with My Camera. When I Take a Picture, Information About the Pic Pop Up. I Am Wondering How Could I Get Rid of That Setting. When I Put It on Play Mode, Same Thing, I See the Info Related to the Picture.
I somehow have disabled the AF-Drive button on the top of the camera next to the LCD. When I push it now it does nothing. It used to work and I could choose one shot, AI Focus, or AI Servo. I don't know what I did and I can't find anything in the manual.
Hi there, I've been lucky enough to get myself in the pit and a cherry picker at a music festival. Wanting a bit of advise on settings to use for the night time headline act, Orbital, they have a great light show so want to really capture that. Any advice would be grateful.
I am looking to purchase a cheap used FD lens Canon FD 35-70mm f4 this will also need an EOS to FD lens adapter for my canon 7D
I tried reformatting and it still doesn't work. I guess I will take the card back and try another one. I did accidentally drop the card before putting it in. I didn't know they were that sensitive.
I can get the 7d body for 1,050.00 plus tax. After a $250 rebate. I can't find a better deal anywhere. It's just the body, strap, charger, battery. Does the camera come with the viewfinder eyepiece? I can get an 18-135 lens for just over $300. Cheaper than most kits with the 18-55 lens which I don't want.
Hi there, New user with the Canon EOS 7d...Whenever I download my pics, i get 2 of every pic. Any suggestions? Help.
I've been using a finepix S100FS for the past 4 years and absolutely delighted with it until it broke...Spent about a week looking at Canon cameras.. Thought about 600D, 60D but really splashed out on the 7D and Canon 18 - 200 lense as was told this is an awesome camera. I am really a point and shoot person at the moment until I learn manual modes etc. I spent the afternoon with my family indoors at Xscape and took about 50 pictures at crazy golf....OMG..pictures looked good on camera..Have j...
I frequently take animal and nature photos and was wondering if there is a way to turn off the shutter "click" on the 7d. Sometimes it spooks the birds and I can only get one good s
My last camera had a setting where I could press the focus point button on the eye, then move the camera any where and the focal point would stay the same. I just recently got a Canon 7D and was wondering if that has the same function? I asked the guy at the camera store and he wasn't sure how to set that up.
